Why cold process

Less rushing. More attention to the formula.

Cold-process soap begins with oils and a carefully calculated lye solution. When they react, saponification transforms them into soap and naturally forms glycerin within the batch.

We do not call handmade soap “lye-free.” Lye is essential to making real soap; precision, complete saponification and an adequate cure are what matter.

The oil blend, superfat, water, fragrance and additives are chosen together—not treated as afterthoughts.

Measured precisely

Every formula depends on oil-specific saponification values and accurate weighing.

Given time

After cutting, the bars cure before use. The calendar is part of the making process.

A handmade cold-process soap sample was tested by the Chemical Testing and Analytical Laboratory, Government of Tamil Nadu. The report states that the tested sample conforms to Grade 1 of IS 2888:2004 (reaffirmed 2021) for the tests performed. Full report is available for review on request.
